Import & Export

We help turn an international product request into a workable route, with clear responsibilities from sourcing through shipment preparation.

  • Order-level coordinationCommercial, handling and logistics stages aligned around one brief.

Exporting from the Netherlands

Delftrain’s established activity is sourcing and exporting Dutch and European consumer goods for customers abroad. An export assignment can include purchase coordination, receiving goods from one or more suppliers, consolidating the order, preparing shipping information and arranging handover to the selected carrier.

The exact route depends on the product, quantity, destination and required timing. Availability and commercial terms are therefore confirmed before purchasing begins.

Typical export requests

  • Dutch or European fashion and lifestyle products for resale
  • Beauty, fragrance and personal-care products requested by overseas clients
  • Mixed consumer-goods orders that benefit from consolidation
  • Corporate or retail orders requiring one coordinating contact in the Netherlands

Importing into the Netherlands

Since 2025, Delftrain has also handled request-led imports from China into the Netherlands. These assignments begin with a defined customer need rather than a fixed public catalogue. We review the proposed product, supplier route, quantity and delivery requirements before confirming whether the request is suitable.

Import coordination may include supplier communication, order alignment, shipment planning and practical handover arrangements. Product-specific documentation, duties, taxes and compliance responsibilities are considered as part of the quotation and agreed scope.

What we coordinate

  1. Request review. Product description, quantity, origin, destination and timing are clarified.
  2. Route assessment. Sourcing, packaging, transport and order constraints are reviewed.
  3. Commercial confirmation. Quotation, payment milestones and responsibilities are agreed.
  4. Order execution. Purchasing and supplier follow-up take place within the approved scope.
  5. Shipment preparation. Goods are consolidated where needed and prepared for carrier handover.

Clear scope before movement

International trade can involve product restrictions, documentation requirements and charges that vary by route. Delftrain confirms what is included in each assignment and identifies information still required from the client. Specialist legal, tax or regulatory advice remains with the appropriate qualified adviser when needed.
